MATHLAPLATFORM

Data ethics

Deaf-led quality

Deaf reviewers have final say on community-facing dictionary quality. Teachers and technical reviewers support but do not override Deaf linguistic authority.

Consent-first

Every recording is covered by the contributor's agreement. Recordings are checked for quality before training. Nothing is published without the contributor's approval.

No language mixing

Arabic and English datasets, labels, and production models are kept separate to preserve linguistic integrity.

Transparency

Dataset exports include manifest metadata, agreement records, version IDs, and known limitations. Researchers must cite Mathla and respect participant choices.

Community benefit

We prioritize accessibility outcomes for Deaf communities. Contributor recordings are never sold, and never published without the contributor's approval.
